I'm not sure. Someone said without it they won't work. I just followed instructions and connected it. Didn't try to run them without the cable.

Was it pretty simple to install the adapter to the 3rd brake light? I have a coupe.
Thanks

I'm thinking that's a little steep of a price yet I spent a grand on my Truck's tail lights altogether! haha. I think I will have mine tinted like I did my Trucks.
Just sold my stock ones on ebay for $365, and you can get brand new aftermarket ones for $460

Very easy, you only need to remove one of the big rubber retainers to get to it

I don't have a coupe. On a convertible it's very easy as you just need to run the cable up to the trunk lid. On the coupe you have to run it inside and my understanding is you have to pull back the headliner. Whether that's hard or not, I don't know. I don't have a headliner to pull back :p

It looks like you have a convertible. Entirely different process for coupes.

I don't know who made these, I just bought them off an M6G member who didn't want them anymore. Looks great to me, love the way the clear lenses coordinate with my silver trim. Much better than the red lenses.

Yes, I have the same emblem on the front grill, wheel caps, and seat covers too. The colors and pattern coordinate really well with the rest of my car.

Finally got my car back from the paint shop and was able to install these. The fitment is great. They look great, like could be OEM. No issues at all. Mine did include the adapter cable to connect both tail lights to the third brake light, which was very easy to do.

Do you have to connect yellow wire for them to work. I am having trouble setting up the mode. Can anybody help.

Ordered them from S550Euros on Instagram. Guy's name is Alex. There's a bunch of companies selling them now though. Sorry I didn't see this post before.

Yes I had to connect the yellow wire but it was super easy to do on my convertible (just run the wire to the trunk lid and connect to the existing wire.

Yes, you need to run the wire through the back seat and up to the third brake light. I went through the rear driver side and up the B-pillar. There is an airbag back there, so be sure the wire is tucked as to not interfere with it. I zipped tied the wiring and tucked the remainder above the headliner. You can pull the headline down, it's only held up with magnets, The B-pillar plastic cover will need a good pull to get it off.

Just take your time running the wire and once you connect to the 3rd brake light, they will work fine.

The instructions are garbage and make it seem like its an "accessory" and not needed. Good luck, PM me if you have any questions.
