Hey guys, just talked with my dealer after pm'ing Rachel last week. Got a build week for November 17th! By the way things have been going, around 20-24 days for delivery maximum which just so happens to fall in my birthday week in December. I'm just a little concerned, will shipping be interrupted by Thanksgiving?
Also congrats to everyone who's received a vin, has been put into production, awaiting shipment or in shipment already!
P.S: I got lucky when I changed my order on October 10th and got a vin on October 16th. For those who are kind of moaning/complaining about waiting a few days for shipping/production. Is it necessary? People have ordered since May, unfortunately haven't received anything so shouldn't you count yourself lucky that your car is already in the process of getting to you soon? Just my two cents, hopefully cars build and ship quickly =D

Very true. I see the posts about no VINs..hell even looking at the 11/10 build thread makes me sort of sick. I couldn't wait that long. For me the wait is reaching the halfway point. Not a whole lot longer to go. I truly wish the people who ordered before were built first. But things happen the way they happen...I don't know how they've waited this long! Props to them.

Well it hasn't been that long to play devils advocate. Job 2 has just started a few weeks ago with retail orders being built. Though some have waited a while, allocation to dealers and vins go to those who have been in the front of the line for their dealers. Technically they've been waiting 4 weeks for a vin, which may seem like it sucks but it usually takes 6-8 weeks to receive a vin from the time when production has started. I simply meant those of us who have been lucky enough to receive a vin, build date or even awaiting delivery shouldn't be in such a rant. Simply we were lucky enough to receive a new car, just as we want it faster than most. I just don't see the stink when we're but a few days/weeks from receiving such a beautiful car.

-Disregard this post. Jack Daniels has taken over in celebration of receiving a tentative build week

Just some heads up to soften the blow. I went into production 10/21. And the next day got an expected delivery 11/10. Thought awesome. That's pretty quick. 2 days later my delivery date changed to 11/17. Still happy but that hurt a little bit. Just want to point out that the date can change. Good luck everyone.
Mine is still the same, went into production on the 22nd and still due on the 9th.

Maybe a bigger lot with a higher priority. I bought the car from one of the biggest Ford dealers in the USA...

My delivery estimate updated and got pushed back from 11/7 to 11/15. That seems more realistic. 21 days and counting:clap2:

My ETA date got pushed back as well, moving from 11/11 to 11/19. But to echo the sentiments of others in this thread, I won't complain at all considering there are some who still don't have a VIN. I have my fingers crossed for all of you!

It is my second.
The first time (BMW) the salesman flat out lied about being able to get a car (he was two months away from having another order allocation) and told me a new lie every week when the car did not show up on BMW's website as being ordered.
Figured out the salesman was a lying douche bag. Got my money back from the dealership. Decided a Mustang would be more fun and a whole lot cheaper to buy, & easier on the wallet for parts & service.

So what I am saying is that thanks to allocations I saved a buttload of green and have a car that I think I will like better coming. I love it when a plan comes together.

I've always been a muscle car guy, but at the same time loved BMWs. It's amazing the amount of negative feedback i've seen on these forums regarding both the cars themselves and the overall buying experience.

grats on the switch. i drove bimmers from 1999-2011. i love them but ford is gonna be stealing lots of their customers with this mustang due to the refinements for 2015.
