I have my 21 Mach1 in the shop installing a Procharger as we speak, I am torn between Penzoil Ultra Platinum, Castrol edge or getrax....
any insight would be appreciated.

I use what the owners manual calls for, Motorcraft 5w50 full synthetic.

Been using Amsoil for 20+ years. No issues. But lots of good premium oils to choose from. Proper change intervals based on driving habits and conditions is more important.

Amsoil SS 5w-50

with Motorcraft filter due to the metal internals, which I don't think any other manufacturer does.

You could probably use Super Tech from WalMart in the appropriate viscosity and never have an issue....

Not that it matters in your situation, but Amsoil is also approved by Ford. So it won't void your warranty.
Recommended by Amsoil for use in certain Ford specs, not “approved” by Ford. There is a difference.

Yeah I guess I should have been a little more specific. It's approved for the Mustang specifically.

Everybody knows Amsoil is better, but I use Motorcraft.

Again, for use in that specification. That does not mean approved by Ford.

Preferred oil change process in GT500 :

4 quarts of 5/50 Super Tech
4 quarts of 5/50 Motorcraft
4 quarts of 5/50 Amsoil

Filter maintenance:
Remove, rince (in kerosene), dry off used factory oil filter till no more metal shaving can be seen while flushed. Reinstall w/used o-rings
[& hi-temp silicone if your a perfectionist].

Start - Idle eng for 8-10 minutes while slightly overfilled - to homogenize. Shut off. Do not allow to cool. Suck out overfill thru dipstick to get dwn to FoMoCo recommended fill level.

Send portion of (8 min used) oil you sucked out, to Blackstone & record results in your maintenance file. Next owner gets very good reports on the your well maintained GT500.

Use money you saved to pay for subscriptions to mags like M/T & C&D, to confirm in your mind, that all generations of the Chevrolet Corvette are great sports car to own....

...if you are a woman...

Lastly.
Drink BudLight when performing all operations above, while holding a spirited discussion w/neighbor, about
Auto vs Manual vs DCT,
as well as side stripes, vs no side stripes.
