Driving in a narrow driveway and run against some paving edging,
put some marks in the Nickel luster wheel:frusty:

anyone in Adelaide have experience with cosmetic wheel repairs as I will be going back down in a few months. asked around Alice Springs but no one here does wheel repairs.
Thanks

I know how you feel. On black it's even worst since the silver sticks out like a sore thumb! I've resolved to simply painting over it with some gloss black on mine. It'll be too expensive to get it repaired each time I scratch it a bit. Eventually if it's really bad, then I'll get it reconditioned. But until then the black paint will suffice.

Theres plenty of guys who put on aftermarket wheels, im sure you could buy a spare rim or 2 off them.

Not looking forward to the first tyre change.

You just know that whoever does it will rape the finish on your wheels.

Sad state of affairs when we are so often subjected to 'technicians' who don't give a fuck about our cars that damage is expected as the norm.

I've never had a wheel scratched by a tyre shop but I'll admit these are the first black wheels I'll have and it does concern me. My approach will be to have them note on the job sheet that there's no damage at the time it was dropped off. If there is when the job is done then clearly they've caused the damage.

I would also be taking photos when I drop the car into them :paddle:

I have black rims on my Redline and unless the guys at the tyre shop are complete numpties you have nothing to worry about.

I did the same thing last weekend :( was so upset. Only a small graze on my front left rim but it may as well be the entire wheel to me. I'm wondering if someone here wants to offload a rim at all?? I would be very interested in buying one. I'm OCD and it really bothers me having one scratched rim on my baby.

I had my own dealership damage my wheel when they drove over a jack stand (saw it happen) and then they said it wasn't them. Definitely TAKE pictures before giving the car to anyone...

I ended up buying a new wheel from them (discounted) and filing a claim against them at VCAT.

Anyway, a new rim would cost you about $650 (wheel and tyre is $1,100)

I have a brand new set of four (with tyres) up for sale- $1500.
No marks, travelled less than 400kms before they were swapped out.
Sydney though..

You don't have an ABN by any chance do you? Lol. If I could actually be charged for that and claim it back on my lease I'd buy them for sure.
