Nearly ordered some 1" spacers from RSI in the US until the paypal shipping came up and it was going to be $500 AU for the set of 4 delivered.
Who has bought them from where and how much did you pay posted? I'm happy to combine postage with the BMR CB005 cradle lockout kit, a G-Track chassis brace and a set of FP sport springs or Eiback springs (dont want to go lower than 1" if I can help it) and a set of camber bolts. trying to find one supplier with the lot seems bloody hard!

interesting... Porsche sell them in Australia for their cars. You can buy varying widths as an option for the 911's and the caymans. Must be because they are manufacturer approved?

so now I'm back to a replacement wheel option with a greater offset if I want to fill the guards?

^^^ You got it!

They are illegal unless they come as a standard option for the car.
(Some) Wheel and tyre shops routinely fit them for customers who want wheels that are the wrong specs, so I'm not sure its very strictly enforced, but, better to be aware and make a conscious choice, right?

That's the proper way to do it. Or wear the risk.

I almost bought the wheel spacers from CJPP, but then my colleague pointed out they are illegal and I checked QLD transport site:
It says:
"
Wheel spacers (or adaptors for dual wheel conversions) between the wheel mounting face and the road wheel must not be used unless fitted as original equipment by the vehicle manufacturer.
Modifications to disc brake calipers, hubs and suspension and steering components to enable the fitting of replacement wheels must not be undertaken " :frusty:

And regarding Wheels:
Maximum Passenger Car Tyre and Rim Width
Tyres fitted to passenger cars or passenger car derivatives must not be more than 30% wider than vehicle manufacturer’s widest optional tyre.
The rim width must not exceed the recommendations for the tyre fitted.
For example, if the original widest optional tyre is 185mm, the maximum tyre width is 1.3 times 185mm = 240.5mm, i.e. a 235mm wide tyre. The maximum rim width for a 235mm tyre is 9 inches if the aspect ratio is 60 or below.
Section LS Tyres, Rims, Suspension and Steering

Version 2.1 – 1 November 2015 Page 21/LS80
Table LS2 lists the maximum allowable tyre and rim sizes for passenger cars taking into account the tyre aspect ratio (n/a = not available).

Just not for the record, someone I may or may not know may or may not have been running wheel spacers on three or no cars for the last 3+ years without issues.
