I get plagued with these fraud attempt calls.

They call claiming to represent one of the major CC companies or more recently, Experian. They’ve been “monitoring my credit” and ask for your credit card info, address and last 4 of your social “for security purposes”. In return they promise to lower your interest rate to 0% for the life of the card.

Clearly bullshit and they so often call when I have nothing but time to kill, so I enjoy fishing them along as far as I can until they break.

I like to ask them 100x to tell me which card they’re monitoring, tell them to hold on while I find the card and then do something annoying like sing or ask them stupid ass questions, tell them I’m finishing taking a shit to please wait (throw some grunting in for extra realness), or start saying random numbers and keep pausing telling them I’m uncomfortable. Sometimes I ask embarrassing medical questions as well, or pretend I’m from deep woods WVA and don’t have a creddy card and tell them about my bad ass truck, etc.

But it’s ALWAYS feeding them BS info back that REALLY sets them off. Or, after 15 min going on a tirade about how they’re bullshit and how stupid they are for even thinking it’s believable.

So far I have gotten the following awesome responses when these little snowflakes realize they’re busted or that you’ve just wasted the amount of times they could make 100 more calls.

“Sit on your thumb and bounce up and down”
“Your mother is a bitch”
“Fuck you, you fucking piece of shit”
“Suck my cock, mother fucker”
And my new favorite:
“You May think I’m some dumb kid, but I’m your father and you’re the son of a stray bitch”.

Anyone else?

I just hang up on them and block their number but of course all these dirt bags and robo calls etc have unlimited numbers. What gets me is I’ve been on the national do not call list for years and I still get tons of calls from these places.

When I had a landline I just picked up and put the phone next to the tv and turned up the volume to a mindless show like Jerry Springer until I heard the phone hang up with the annoying sound it made when the call was over.

Best thing I ever did was freeze my credit from all 3 credit bureaus. When I need to apply for a loan etc I just call the specific credit bureau that the credit inquiry will go to and unfreeze it with a pin # for a specific time wether it be an hour or 24 hours etc. Even if they had my info they can’t open any credit without my approval or knowledge.

A benefit to freezing my credit is I no longer get unwanted cc offers and I’m not throwing away tons of wasted paper.
