I just swapped my OEM for RainX last week. They look almost identical. But now I have a spot on my passenger side that the middle of the blade is not contacting. It is a replacement Ford windshield installed by Safelite. I think Ford sells them their seconds.
The guys that installed it even told me to watch for irregularities that cause image distortions. Sure enough, that same spot causes distortion. If I cant get the blade to lay flat, I'll call Safelight back out to replace it under warranty.
I'm going to try and take some of the arch out of the new blade and see if that helps first. I don't mind a little distortions since I never focus on anything in that area. But dirt build up will drive me up a wall. Funny how the OEM blades didn't leave this spot.
