CRANKCASE BREATHER KIT GT 5.0

I'm considering purchasing one of these: https://lmr.com/item/UPR-501303/mustang-upr-crankcase-breather-kit-5013-03-gt-18-19 for my 2020 GT PP1.

Can I simply unscrew the current oil fill cap from the plastic engine cover and screw this in it's place without clearance issues?

It's simply vents crankcase pressure to atmosphere. When installing this you must disconnect any crankcase connections at the inlet tract.

I think they are not needed on a stock motor but if your boosted I would get one. Cheap insurance.

I just had a whipple put on and I was researching it when I seen your post lol. I guess when the car is under boost it creates more pressure under the piston and with no way for the extra pressure to get out it could break a ring lead in the piston. I think if you run just 10psi your ok but like I said cheap insurance to just get one.

I have the Upr catch can for the whipple but i don't think it releases any built up pressure just catches any oil blow by.

It 100% prevents oil getting into the intake, catch cans stop some but not all, unless they are the vented type.

The only drawback is you might get an oil smell.

Ya, I'm boosted and thus the ask...

If boosted, you will want the breathers that install on the valve covers as well. Expect some oil seepage when running it hard.
