Over the course of 4 months, I have upgraded my intercooler to the CP-E intercooler and have ran it on the drag strip with no issues. Then 2 weeks ago I was driving fairly hard on the road and one of my charge pipes blew off due to me not securing them on tightly. So I purchased the CP-e hot side and cold side pipping w/ the Tial BOV and after installing it I am experiencing some issues that have been keeping me from driving the car.
First, the Tial BOV does not remain closed during idle (about half way open).
Secondly, I can not make more than 10PSI flooring the car because the BOV is remaining open and I can hear the air rushing out of it. What should I do?

Likely a plugged hole keeping the diaphragm open. Needs a good cleaning and some lube. Check to see if the seal is not cracked. Check to see if the spring is not out of place. [ame]

If that doesn't work, get a refund for the faulty BOV.

The issue was that they sent me a TIAL BOV with the white spring that is too weak to keep the BOV shut during idle because of my higher vacuum pressure. Ordered a new spring so hopefully that helps

It's definitely the spring, I believe you need the plain spring (no color) to keep it shut at vacuum. Or yellow which is one step tighter than the plain one, but that one may cause flutter. I had this valve (recirc) on my old car (speed3), and it was one of my favorite purchases.

I would recommend while you wait for a new spring, to open up the BOV and get it cleaned up really nicely, especially the piston. I know they mention it's a no service BOV but it's not and needs a tiny bit of lube/cleaning so the piston doesn't bind. I mean SUPER small amount just a drop of oil and spread it around with finger, then wipe off excess.
