Hello Everyone:

Love the look and feel of the 2015 Mustangs, and got a chance to drive the Ecoboost and a base manual GT today and fell in love with the GT right away, it just feels like a real muscle car.

A couple pricing questions: I live in CANADA, which I understand has higher prices than the US in general. My step-dad works for a Ford dealership, so I would actually would be eligible for A Plan pricing. After my test drive of the GT and mentioning to them that fact, they took the price from 38995 MSRP to about 36,000 and after walking away they tried to tell me they could probably do it for 34000. Is that in line with A plan pricing, better / worse?

Any fellow Canadians able to tell me if that's a reasonable price / high?

39K to 34K? That's a good discount. A plan for me is roughly 10% so it seems like you're doing OK. I'm in the states though.

If you can get a-plan get a-plan. No negotiation is required. The price is printed on the forms.

Can you get additional rebates like the Costco membership stuff on top of A-Plan, or is this basically as good as it can possibly get?

Just would like to know, don't mean to sound greedy but every cent helps.

Yes. I am getting a-plan plus another $1000 in rebate. I can't say specifically about the Costco rebate but some rebates yes.

That's quite good. Thanks for the help.

Could you beat A-Plan through negotiating? Or is that basically as good as it gets? Once again, thanks a bunch for the help.

No you can't beat a-plan or negotiate it. The a-plan eligible person can look up the price. Many of the dealerships in Michigan display the a-plan price on their websites as well. Negotiate the trade in though before you tell them a-plan. All dealers will make money on the trade in some want to make more than others.

And I think this is my last question I can think of: can you combine the "Employee Pricing" event Ford usually holds at the end of the year with A-Plan pricing to basically get Employee Pricing on top of Employee Pricing? I'd ask my step-dad all these things, but he doesn't speak great english so he can't exactly ask at work.

Thanks a million for all your help. Really helps me get things in order on my end.

Hello Everyone:

My step-dad works for a Ford dealership, so I would actually would be eligible for A Plan pricing.
Are you sure it's "A" plan?

"A" plan is for employees of Ford. A dealership employee should get "D" plan, which seems to be comparable to "X" plan.

The information that I found when I was researching my car indicated that there is no price better than "A" plan. (Z Plan is for retired Ford employees, and uses the same pricing as A)

Here is a pretty good explanation of the differences.
