Yesterday my Cotus date showed today as delivery date, this morning it was blank, and then later is shows 12/30. That's almost 2 weeks later, is this normal? Thanks in advance this is my first time waiting for a car, don't know how some of you wait months.

send a PM to FordService with your VIN number and they can give you more accurate data than cotus. Cotus has been (and might forever be) in beta - so information disappears and reappears on there quite often. Many people have seen date push backs - some even reported earlier than expected deliveries.

Mine has been all over the place. Don't trust it for accurate information.

COTUS delivery dates are guesstimates at best. All the other dates it provides are solid. That includes In Processing, In Production, and Awaiting Shipping. All of those update about a day after the event. For example, my order was submitted 12/2, by 12/3 it was in COTUS. My car got a VIN on 12/4, same day it was on COTUS. My car got built (blend) on 12/15, by the next day it was updated in COTUS to reflect awaiting shipment.

My EDD has changed in the last 24 hrs.;
  • 1/30 - Original
  • 1/14
  • 1/5
  • 1/4
  • 12/30
  • 12/29 - NOW
I mean, don't get me wrong...I would love the 29th (right before my Bday)...but I am reluctant to believe.

Exactly, once the car is built you can toss COTUS right out the door. Once your car ships you can get fairly accurate information from the rail companies.

My EDD has been all over the place... but it seems to have settled on Christmas.

But, it appears that your EDD actually got better. Is that consistent? Or is it the other way around that the more accurate (delay)?

It did go from mid January then to mid December then back towards the end of December.

What I learned is, do NOT trust the EDD to be even remotely accurate if your car is still awaiting shipment. When my EDD jumped to mid December, my car was still at the plant awaiting shipment. The second my car was assigned a railcar and went to in transit my EDD got a bit more realistic.

They backdated my awaiting shipment to completed on 11/25 when it moved to in transit on 12/08.

For this part of the journey Union Pacific has been the most reliable source of information.
