I don't understand the programming in COTUS. My convertible went 'into production' and couple of days later the page showed a 'View Window Sticker' tab. However, after 4 days, the tab still doesn't work. I would have assumed that assigning a viable window sticker image would generate a View tab. Not the other way around.

4 days does seem like too long. Mine finally came up 2 days after it went to "In production. maybe it just depends on when the website guy decides to update. I don't know if that is the case. I'm just assuming that could be it...

There's no specific time. It depends on when your dealer has allocation for your order. A REALLY GOOD dealer will be able to tell you when you order should get pulled. (+/- a week and assuming there aren't any unforeseen holds) Orders get pulled on Thursday nights and that's when you get assigned a VIN, and the week (not date) your car will be built.

What specifically does the dealer give you when you place the order?
Some don't give you anything. A good dealer will give you a DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) which will have your order number, dealer code, & priority on it. With the order number & dealer code you can go to COTUS and look up the status of your order.

Window sticker just showed up...COTUS showed 'in production' last Thursday. Sticker...Tuesday afternoon (3 Feb)...Blend: (9 Feb)...Delivery 01 March.

Update...Dealer just called...Ford contacted him and said: Delivery on 19 Feb (about 11 days sooner that COTUS statement). He said he couldn't believe that Flat Rock could start assembly on 9 Feb and get the convertible here in central MN in ten days! I didn't know that there were any high speed freight trains running from Mich to MN!

COTUS is still under development, tsunami, and may not function to its full potential. Shoot over a PM with your VIN; I'll check out any available info.

Orders normally receive scheduling action, such as VINs and build weeks, on Thursdays, drabon74. This Thursday, 2/5, Mustangs will not be scheduled. Check in with me next week; I'll take a peek.

That's right, Stang Nut; thanks for sharing this info.

Orders are scheduled based on the following criteria:

-the priority code rating
-the dealer's allocation for each production week
-the ordered option content (assembly plant discretion)
-the receipt date

The receipt date is a factor when breaking ties for orders with the same priority code. Therefore, the date is the last factor.

Rachel got back to me...the Delivery Date is still 1 March as stated by COTUS (not 19 Feb as communicated to my dealer). COTUS seems to be accurate once the data gets entered.
My Window Sticker was identical to my DORA/Order Form.
