You do realize not every dealer is approved through the Costco buying program. If you got a bad experience with a Costco authorized dealer, I would report it to Costco. In Kansas City, there is only one Ford dealer approved through Costco. It is $500 below invoice with $0 dealer fees. You can certainly use that price point to negotiate with other dealers, but only the Costco authorized dealer is bound to the Costco pricing program.

yes, I used the Costco approved dealer. I dont know who sets the discounted price, the dealer or Costco. But it definitely was not low enough. I have friends who have used the same dealer as I went into and by not using Costco, just by haggling, were able to get the truck about 3500 below MSRP for the exact same truck.

The Costco price here is $500 below invoice, not MSRP. Costco pricing is typically better than X-plan, but I agree, most times you should be able to negotiate a lower price than the Costco price. But, it's generally a decent starting point and something you can always fall back on if you can't get them to deal.
