To my ears it's a bit to raspy and to much high end frequency sounding (same with all the corsa X pipes) - and I'm not sure if it's legal outside Essex! - just kidding chaps!

I'd suggest you add Solo Performance Thunder exhaust to your consideration list. Less expensive, sounds just as good, and superbly constructed. Just sayin' (not sponsored, just have one and considered that very same Corsa exhaust).

On another note, I got all kinds of crap for Screamin' Eagle mufflers on my Harley when I lived in Germany and traveled throughout Europe including the UK. Those were the quietest aftermarket mufflers made. And cops would just lecture me up a storm everywhere, half the time in a language I wasn't able to decipher. How you'd get away with Corsa Extreme in the EU baffles me...

Hi guys,

Ive decided on getting the Corsa Xtreme 3inch Catback for my GT. Anyone had this system done to here in the UK? If so would you recommend it or is it far too loud for the UK?

Also any suggestions on the cheapest place to get this from?
American Muscle seem to be the only quote I can get at £1600 shipped and delivered. Any UK suppliers out there?

Many thanks :D
I'm in Oz obviously, but that price is insane. We're not paying any more than USD$1500 delivered for the Xtreme, message Jayman33 from Hypermotive, he'll hook you up

Good choice!

Who cares what your neighbours think, i have to deal with all my neighbours having rev matches in the morning and don't moan (Difference with being a car lover... vs an salty so and so...)

Anyway, plenty of pics when it's on/videos when you rev her up etc!

I also briefly looked at the Xtreme - honestly, I think its a bit too much. Lovely tone to it, but far too loud.

Would end up annoying me, never mind the neighbours.

After many many videos (where everyone says it doesn't do the exhaust justice) I am heading down the Solo Mach Thunder route, mainly owing to the deeper sound and less rasp. Its going to be fun car not a daily however if its OTT then with the solo system I can just change the middle section to the Mach XV and the axle back system remains. The mad thing is if i get the two centre portions shipped its no extra postage just $375 dollars for the spare centre. Easy to swap as the mood takes me...........so I will start Thunder but I can swap very easily to a more sedate system without buying a full one.

Good choice. The XV is loud enough for me but the Thunder did intrigue me when trying to decide.

As you say, very easy to swap the mid sections. If you decide on a favourite, you can always look at selling the other mid section so someone who may want to go up/down in volume

You've just missed out on one in the classifieds for around £700. It's bonkers loud from the videos I've seen. Definitely one for a weekend toy only if you want to scare some livestock on a country road or the neighbours. Not as a daily for me.

Hypermotive will do you a good deal They've quoted me 1600 dollars shipped.

Shipped to the UK???
Hyper motive are great, I got my Corsa Sport from them and it was around $1300 landed to me. With duty/vat total was around £900 landed. Great deal!

In terms of loudness:

Borla/FRPP Sport/Race (raspy particular through rev range and loud in car)
Corsa Sport (deep tone with slight rasp throughout rev range, quiet in car)
Borla ATAK (deep tone, little louder than Corsa sport, loud in car)
Corsa Xtreme (raspy in higher rev range, medium in car)

I think the ATAK is the loudest exhaust available that has a deep tone, but they all get a little raspy after 4000rpm full throttle unless you swap the X-pipe for a H-pipe.
The beauty of the Corsa's is they really are absolute ZERO DRONE and the sound cancellation technology makes them pretty quiet inside the car, could be too quiet for some, but at 80mph on the motorway all you can hear is engine and road noise, until you accelerate.
