Corsa Headers and e85

Hey guys, so I had ordered some Texas speed headers from lethal in addition to a Lund ngauge with flex fuel tune for my 2019 gt auto. Long story short, one of the reasons I picked these headers was because of the o2 bung having the angle to prevent fouling o2 sensors when using e85. Well lethal contacted me today saying they were backordered on tsp headers until August, so I upgraded to the corsa headers. My only concern is that the o2 bungs on the corsa’s are at a 90* angle, not 85 like some of the other headers. Is this going to be a problem? Or could I possibly thread a bolt into the bungs and lightly tap them sideways to get a bit of angle on them?

My Kooks are angled, which was also one of the reasons I went with Kooks. Perfect fitment and no issues with E85 since I installed them in January.

You will need to have new bungs welded in at an angle if you are concerned. I wouldn't worry about it until it becomes a problem though. Or cancel your order and go Kooks.

Shaun at AED recommended the Kooks as well for E85

Been running ARH long tubes on e for over 2 years no issues with the sensors. Should not be a problem.

I have TSP Longtubes & the o2 bung is horizontal. Thought they needed to be redone to run e85? One reason I haven't yet.

I think TSP sells them with angled bungs by default now.

haha, didn't think of that. got mine in 2016. I do need to get them angled.

Yeah I don’t think the Texas speed’s have much of angle, I think it’s only like 5 or 10 degrees. But it seemed like it was enough, I just really don’t want to have an exhaust shop drilling and welding on my brand new corsa headers. The car never sits for more than a day, and it seems like most people’s issues come when the car sits for a bit between drives. And as far as the kooks go, I love that the bungs are pre-angled, but I already went for a $700 header to a $1300 header, and the kooks are still $500 or so more than the corsa.

The Kooks fit perfectly and there is no false knock. The install was not so much tough but tedious and I did it on my back with the car on 12" Race Ramps wheel cribs. If you search through here, you will find my install thread about it from back in Jan/Feb timeframe.

We've sold a ton of the Corsa headers since they were released and even though the 02's aren't angled we haven't had one report of anyone having an issue with fouling sensors. I personally wouldn't be concerned about it. Put em on and full send!!

Oh I plan to! Just wasn’t sure about the o2 sensor, but I really don’t want someone welding on my headers. So I’ll just leave them alone.

Does anyone happen to know what the outside diameter of the connection pipes are?

I unfortunately don’t have a corsa x-pipe, nor do I want to pay $500 for one, so I was going to chop the 2 1/4” neck down off my aftermarket x-pipe and get an adapter to reduce the connection pipes down to 2 1/2”, i’m just not sure what size ID adapter to get.
