Only time will tell if the extra time it took for them to be released produced a superior built Vehicle or a few hundred (lemons). Hope its not the later.
Mine was built on 12/09/2014, and it has no issues with the top other than a slight rippling on the driver's side, near the rear window. It may smooth out over time; if not, I'll take it in to be looked at.

I have previously owned six convertibles (of different makes), and this is the ONLY one that didn't leak going through a car wash!! :clap2:

I found these pictures (hopfully they will show up) which do show the different lines on the rear quarter panels.

On 12/15, I ordered an Ingot Convertible with the 50th App. Package. I basically choose that package for the wheels and the dash panel. I would like to add the spoiler delete option, but my dealer says he cannot do so when the 50th App. package is also ordered. So now I am considering modifying the order to remove the 50th App. Package. However, I don't know if this will start the process over again, which would likely push my EDD back. Currently, I don't know when this will be anyways as I am still in "Order Processing".

Either way, I still cannot tell what is different about the countour of the trunk lid.

Yeah I am having a hard time telling the difference too. Maybe the line running just under the antenna (on the vert) is slighly higher, but hard to say for sure...if anything it is a very minor difference. I like both styles so far though! Although I haven't had a chance to see a vert in person yet.

Also, I went through the same dilemma with the 50th AP on my car. Initially I was going to get it for sure because I wanted the unique package for the 50th anniversary and knew it would be a one-year only option, obviously. :D But Ford really dropped the ball IMO, not offering either the PP (which deletes the spoiler even in conjunction with the 50th AP) or offering to add the spoiler delete with the 50th AP. Really dumb marketing decision IMO, and really doesn't change anything for their manufacturing other than another configuration option. I actually didn't like the tacky faux gas cap (looks even more out of place on the S550 than it did on the S197s) and the chrome taillight trim looked tacky to me too. Essentially, it was the whole rear end I didn't like on the 50th AP...lol....I was willing to look past (or modify after delivery) the faux gas cap and chrome taillight trim, but he spoiler was the deal breaker, as I didn't want to have to mess with removing it and patching the holes and what not. The only other thing I didn't care for were the all-season tires, as I wanted summer tires, but I would deal with it as that's an easy swap later on.

Since I'm not getting the 50th AP, I plan to swap out the grill for the corral grill, as that was my favorite part about that package. I think I like the 20s a little more (plus they have summer tires!), and I got my spoiler delete, so I'm happy. Only other things I liked were the seats and the dash on the 50th AP, but I think I will eventually swap dash for a PP dash anyway to get the gauges. :headbang: In the end, the 50th AP was $1442 (X-plan) and the 20s and Premier Trim Package (which is pretty much included in the 50th AP) added $1528, so I paid a few bucks more but got the 20s, summer tires, and spoiler delete, though I lost out on some of the other features on the 50th AP (most notably the grill).

Is COTUS acting up for everyone else this morning? I refreshed my page that's always up on my laptop and it looked all funky and didn't have the EDD or "days until delivered" part. Tried on my phone too and looks all funky on there too. Also, tried to go back and refresh and even the main page looks funky, and now it says my VIN has "no matching vehicle."

Yup I just posted over in the 12/15 build thread. Having the same issues. If I use the direct link on Chrome on my phone it loads and looks like it is actually a mobile webpage but none of the links work, no EDD, etc. Looks like they are in the process of adding some more stuff to the page so hopefully this gets worked out and I can get back to my refresh cotus addiction.

Was kind of hoping it was just me and it meant my car was being delivered today, since the EDD went missing lol

Me thinks there is a good possibility that (both) of our Convertibles are on the same Train, heading South. Remember I Posted earlier that I`d have no issue if the Train made an earlier stop along the way as it headed towards Miami, lol.

Mine may be on the same train as well. It is on a train in Kentucky.

Isn`t it really odd that so many of our Convertibles ordered as early as 9/2, (mine) and those ordered much later and built between mid and late Nov thru late Dec all now being released and shipped at the same time and may, in all actuality be on the same Car Carrier Train heading South? Strange, very strange. A case for Unsolved Mysteries, eh?

Anyone been using wwwqa.cotus.ford.com to track their vert it seems to have been changed and does not work when using a VIN. Worked fine yesterday but today can't find car I think since blue dot does not change from dealer#,order#. www.cotus.ford.com has never worked for verts can never find car using VIN.

No doubt an issue with the Server receiving too many "Hits". So many anxious Buyers awaiting their Convertibles and seeking constant updates to check status of their Car, especially with 1/5 and the end of the current Incentives & Rebates looming!

Yeah if I put in my Order number and dealer code I can get it to come up (since, like you noticed, the button won't move to choose the VIN search), but it is still all messed up and has no EDD or "days left" showing. :frusty:

Good news though, dealer just called me and said the car may arrive tonight, if not it will arrive to them on Monday!

Les, I bet we were on the same train so yours shouldn't be far behind...heck maybe even on the same truck now!
