I have had a deposit in at my ford dealer in broward county fl since July.... Of 2013!!!

I was disappointed that the 50th LE was a fastback only but when I saw the available 50th package I calmed down.

I gave my dealer the final order for a fully loaded auto 5.0 automatic convertible. Back in may when the order guide came out and so far he tells me that my order was submitted but not yet accepted.

As of Sept 2, 2014, Base V6 Mustang Convertibles with A/T and the Upgraded 051A Package (minus Spoiler Delete # 13D) and adding Spare Tire # 66W Order was accepted.

Dealer Runaround??

I've been trying to order a Premium GT Convertible, Manual, Upgrade Package 401A, Spoiler Delete, Spare Wheel & Tire, Nav since early September. I have an X-Plan PIN. One dealer in town (Fresno, CA) told me Ford wasn't accepting orders for convertibles yet, and wouldn't be for a couple of months. The other dealer told me he would be happy to place a retail order for me, and took the information on the car I wanted, but then later emailed me saying: "As of right now there is no pricing yet for the convertibles so when it comes up I will email u the build sheet". Is this normal, or is he merely yanking my chain? Should I look for another dealer? I realize these cars won't be built for a while yet, but just want to get my order queued up.

I called Ford Tuesday morning and asked about this, they said that they don't know. They DID say that Convertibles are due in to dealers beginning middle of November. If this is anything like the fastback, that means they will start accepting retail orders around then.

My 2015 Mustang Convertible Order was accepted and processed on Sept 2. Wayne Akers Ford, Lake Worth, FL. All depends on the configuration you chose. I Ordered a Base V6 Vert with A/T and the upgraded 051A Equipment Package, Spare Tire and Spoiler Delete, no problem. Retail Order, X-Plan, Priority 10.

I had to drive 22 miles out of town, but I finally found a dealer who is willing to place an order for me. Says he will put it in on Monday morning (not sure why the wait, but this is the closest I've come so far!). Delivery, he says, won't be until January or February. Keeping my fingers crossed as well...

Woot! Just got a copy of the DORA for my order today. Hopefully, it will get here in time for my birthday in February!
