Would the competition catback fit? or is it only the street that would fit the convertible?

Thanks guys for pointing me to Justin. I just got off the phone with him and he is hooking me up with the competition cat back. I can't wait to hear it. I probably should note more specifically the magnaflow competition 3" cat back for a 2015 mustang gt convertible.

The competition will fit, but I have headers without cats so it would be too loud for me.

I haven't been able to get back to the exhaust shop to fix the exhaust leak, but here is a start up video for now. It's not so quiet with full exhaust.

Sounds really good.
Glad I didn't get the Comp version. The turbos will quiet it down when they are installed at the end of June.

I went with the comp because I have no plans t go without the cats. I hope to do a CAI and tune which is way more than I ever did to my 2011. Midwest Performance in Tulsa quoted me $125 to install the cat back, is that a reasonable price?

I get the "good buddy" deal, I have a friend that owns a muffler shop, it cost me $70 and they cut off the 2.25 connections and made me the 3" couplers. I took about an hour total.

Just a quick report on the ARH Catback H-Pipe install on my GT Convertible. The system is in and sounds great. The volume is reasonable during normal cruising and has the nice deep rumble you have come to expect from the ARH systems. WOT is a different story. My wife was following me home after picking up the car form ARH and when I floored it she said "it sounded like a bomb went off" which is to say the system is plenty loud when you thrash it.

Just as it should be....

X vs H-pipe??

I thought I have read the X-pipe yields a higher pitch tone than an H-Pipe. Curious of the reasons several on this thread choose X-pipe over H? ith minimal research, it looks like X-pipes are a simple one piece unit, while H-pipes I found seem to be bolt (or weld) together kits. Is that the reason, simplicity?
I though about having a shop just weld in a perpendicular crossover pipe right behind the tranny past the flex pipes (defacto H), but wonder what that mean for making the cats/down pipes a one piece assembly for future repairs?
