I bought my car through a ford dealer, but their main dealership was a dodge dealership. I was given a service contract that gave me free oil changes for the first 24000 miles. So yesterday I decided to take it to a local dodge dealer (original dealer is 2.5 hours away) and get it changed. All goes well...until this morning I look up and see a service sticker telling me to come back in 3500 miles.... So I called the place and confirmed they put conventional oil in my car.

Should I be worried? Should I just go back tomorrow and get them to put synthetic in my car tomorrow?

The normal oil that needs to be changed every 3k-5k miles. Where as synthetic will last twice that. I'm pretty sure it has other benefits but to be honest I dont know. Weight was right at least, 5w20

yep...dino oil is just as good as synthetic in normal conditions. Just you need to change it @ 3-5k miles. When synthetic will go 10k.

It's been shown that conventional is just as good at protecting the motor if you change it regularly. The only cars that require synthetic are the ones that take 0 weight.

,^This..
Some conventional oils are actually better at deposit reduction and capsulation than some syns. Most oils sold as syn are petroleum based oils with only a syn additve package.
I wouldn ask if that dealer could do a blend or full syn change for next time if it concerns you.
