Compatible paints?

I'm getting a new helmet for hpde and I want to have a friend custom paint it. She's a fantastic artist but normally uses acrylic paints. From searching around it looks like the Spraymax 2K is a good clear coat to put over it when done. Does anyone know if a regular acrylic paint is compatible or what kind of paints she would need to use?

That’s a very loaded question. The only way to know is do a test panel and see. Generally speaking auto paint manufacturers don’t typically have cross compatibility issue’s. That said I use to use a lot of House of Kolors. There base’s would react with most sealers that weren’t theres. Their clear had very poor uv holdout so I wouldn’t use their clear. I used basf products. On a helmet where theres a concern I’d do a few light pass’s and let it fully flash before I went to the full on wet coats.
