Hi guys, So I got my Cobb High Flow filter a couple days ago for my 2016 Ecoboost (Euro Spec) and promptly installed it. Its the same filter as the Green Filter.
When installing it i noticed compared to the stock filter, the new one kinda didnt sit snuggly inside the airbox. Its the correct shape and does fit, but once you drop it down its got a few millimeters of play if you move it side to side.
I figured it would be okay since when the top cover clamps down the air filter would be pressed down in place and shouldnt move hence no unfiltered air should get through.
Been driving it around and i love the loud whoosh sound, but on the second test drive my traction control light came on while taking off slowly and i could feel some pulsing in the brake pedal. It didnt go away until i switched the traction control off then on again.
I figured theres no way this could be related to the filter until i read this thread:

Of course, completely different car but it shows that there is a small chance the MAF sensor reading could affect the traction system depending on how it works on this cars, and i think Euro spec cars like mine use a MAF sensor instead of a MAP sensor ?
Co-incidence or is my new filter affecting the reading ? And is that slight play of the filter in the airbox a problem ?
