I check out this forum daily. Mostly, the community does a good job about answering questions that get posed sometimes prior to me seeing them. I don't see the point in restating something already said. If you guys or anyone else has any questions, we can be reached at 866-922-3059 or email [email protected]. We'll definitely make new threads as new products become available. It's getting closer! Stay tuned...

*Bumb*

Is COBB still alive? 1st a lot of posts about the product and now nothing anymore.
We have several other threads that are active are participated in =) Just because we aren't posting every few minutes doesn't mean we aren't watching.

They aren't very active on here -- they will jump in for a bit and then vanish haha
While I try to stay active on the forum, most of my time is spent on the dyno, or doing development to offer performance enhancing features to your car. We've got a lot more in store for the Mustang and have been super busy behind the scenes here.

Cheers,

I see you guys talking about WOT/FFs shifting in here and said it doesn't cause reliability issues...That's not entirely true. I highly advise you are running aftermarket heavy duty clutches before you start doing this style of shifting. Next threads we will be seeing is...clutch slipping?!

If those threads come, they will come with or without the use of this feature. Does revving to high RPM at WOT, letting off the clutch, slamming into the next gear, and going WOT again cause reliability issues? Technically, it could shorten longevity of parts in the drivetrain. That's what happens with abusive driving. But, the point in a previous comment is that FFS isn't going to cause any more significant wear over what normal hard driving would do. With this feature, you at least get the benefit of maintaining boost between shifts.

Cobb any updates on exhaust or intercooler? Also I was told Cobb h.q. found no advantage of an aftermarket intake over stock is that true?It seems that everyone else has shown good gains with an intake.

We did dyno several different intake configurations. More details on that to come.

Ahhh there we go! COBB is still alive. :D
Always! It's a lot of data to piece together in a concise and illustrative package. We did extensive testing over the course of the last month and will be sharing some of the later findings with you guys soon.

Our goal with this information is to educate you guys on how we do things at COBB, and how our findings influence the decisions we make. I'm looking forward to finishing up the article for you all to read!

Cheers,

With all do respect, I have been testing with Cobb's Access Port and the flat floor shifting (power shifting for us old guys) is not hard on parts with the OTS. Also, I have a custom tune I'm working with now, and it still works great. It is a joy to use, and so much easier on the drive train with the added benefit of staying in boost. Most factory hydraulic clutch setups do not react as fast as the foot, so when you release the pedal and shift, the timing will be off at times, usually causing the rpms to spike or worse yet missing a gear. In most cases its not a big deal, but for drag racing it is a big plus to have FFS. You can shift fast or slow it works great either way.

Just to let everyone know, I have no affiliation with Cobb, and do not know anyone at Cobb. A friend of mine from Panda Motorworks has been after me to try the AP. I have always used SCT, with Torrie from Unleashed, great service and a good product.

I have been working with the AP for a few weeks and it has some very cool features. I was going to wait until all the testing was done and we get some dyno numbers and track numbers to give people another possible option when tuning before posting. I think by the end of spring when most tracks are open, the AP will be another great option for this platform.

I hope to have some numbers by the end of March.

I still have no idea how to use all the futures of the AP V3. More input for new to the tuning on a EB guys would be helpful.

100 octane in Europe is equivalent to roughly 94 octane in the US. I don't know if Cobb will make specific tunes for 94 octane, but you could use the 93 octane tunes just fine.

But it's another good reason you should get a pro tune.

So bumping an old thread. there isn't a fix yet for the rev hang? Been driving mine around a bit, and so far that's the only thing that pisses me off.
