Clutch purchase dilemma??

I have have 2018 98k mile stock clutch gt on e85 , longtubes, 4.09 gears. My question is i have an opportunity to purchase a brand new Mcleod RST kit for 600 obo. Would I be wasting my money i know this is a little overkill.

The price is very good, but RST is organic clutch material. Not that it’s a bad thing, but if you race or plan to launch the car hard repeatedly, maybe you’d benefit from the more heat tolerant cerametallic clutch material. Then again, $600 might be worth doing, just as long as you‘re okay with the fact that it may not hold up to the same rigors as a cerametallic clutch.

It's a semi daily driver a couple of rolling pulls a month.
The stock clutch has lasted this long, honestly would like to replace it before it does go on me.

I say go for it before someone else buys it. Based on how you’ll be driving the car, it should hold up as long, if not longer than the factory clutch.

That’s even better! Does the clutch come with a new flywheel or will you have to purchase one? You may even be able to have yours resurfaced.

I agree. You might as well install a good tranny mount too since you’re gonna be right there.
