I thought I would share a story to save some of you time. When taking off my stock clutch assist spring, the old spring is under a lot of pressure. I had the vice grips on and was working the spring out when it popped. I found the spring and the bottom mount. I looked everywhere for the top piece, under seats, under car, all over my garage and could not find it. I searched under the dash lodging my body under the dash so I could see. I felt around for quite a while. Everything is plastic so it all felt tight. Eventually I started to tug on things and eventually it was found. It had lodged itself between the dash and some gauge plugs. The force of the spring launched it right in there. Whole lot of wasted time. That said, got the mod done and love the clutch feel. The only thing is, I did not have to hold the clutch in the insert the spring. I hope this is not something I did wrong that will come bite me.
