Im getting a clunking sound when turning at low speed e.g. 25 mph.
Maybe differential gears? Worth taking for possible repairs?
Ive been warned that the transmission will be next to go, but it sounds to me more like a differential issue. Any help appreciated.

Check axle nuts? Any plan in the CV joints? Track Duty is hard on them.

Yup in a year of track duty I've had to work on the following:
3 out of 4 CV joint boots bust open
DSS propshaft adaptor came loose, my fault
Drivers side axle nut came loose
Rear wheel bearings wore out

Bottomline, got put the car on jack stand after each event and check all is well. My front right wheel bearing also sounds like its beginning to go

I have had the drivers side outer CV boot rip
I have lost drivers side inner CV joint in Axle Shaft to a total failure
I have had the upper bolt on the drivers side lateral link vibrate loose
I have had the passenger side engine mount vibrate loose

I do a post event check on every nut and bolt in the rear and front suspension and at every 2 events along with an oil change I check sway bar mounting bolts, engine mounts, oil pan bolts, drive shaft bolts, trans mount bolts, and shifter bracket bolts. It is just part of my routine to make sure the car is ready for the next event. The car thus far has been very reliable but this is the reality of track duty, stuff will break.
