Here's some I took today. I've got Xpel on the front, 18" of hood and fenders, and backs of mirrors. You really can't see it unless you are really looking.
Thanks for the pics and description. And the car and wheel combination are beautiful!

You're waiting to drive your car on the freeway??? Its just a car. Drive it. Please. People are so weird about cars these days.
True dat. But… In the defense of humanity, they like things to stay as pretty for as long as HUMANLY possible.

We're just a weird species, overall…

I dont know. Thats just not Mustang. Mustang is grinning ear to ear while you whip the car around a corner while gunning the V8 and take off in a fish tail kickin up some dirt :p Its not keeping your car in a garage worrying about road dirt.

Clearly a rift emerging. Folks who care about keeping their car as pristine as possible, while others who dont care.

Regardless, neither approach precludes one from having fun with the car. Things like clear-bra's etc help the former group go out and enjoy their rides. :p

It's not that I don't care, it's just that it's a car. Use it for what it is. When you want it cleaned up do a wash and wax.

That's your philosophy. Not sure what it being a car has to do with putting a clear-bra on.

I think a lot of people will have a different definition of 'what it is' is and how to use it. Also, not seeing why washing/waxing is ok but clear-braing is not.

I'm totally psycho on this issue. I'm all for preserving the pristine looks of a brand new car, but I'm also one who sees merit in bearing battle scars with pride. I guess there's a tipping point in which you decide, "Well, I've done all I could do to preserve my car's finish. Now I'm just gonna throw caution to the wind and ENJOY the Hell out of it!" I mean, it's like those guys (geeks) who think you have to keep toys in their original packaging, never unwrapping them and playing with them… Just hoping to be able to preserve their "original" worth, or better, by keeping them from being exposed to the detrimental effects of handling. On one hand, you want to preserve, but on the other, you want to use them as much as possible, regardless of what it does to their perceived worth down the road (i.e. "resale"). This is as much a personal decision as is choosing a color.

Agreed. It's a dial one has to move between preservation and use - till you find the sweet spot that works for you and thanks to modern advancements (UV resistant paints, clear-bras, engine longevity etc) its not as bad a tradeoff as it used to be. For me its about minimizing the damage and keeping the car as well preserved as I can - while driving the snot out of it. That means driving is everyday, auto-x, etc but clear-bra'ing and maintaining it properly (frequent oil changes, not driving it hard when engine is not upto operating temp etc)! It's worked well for me but yes, entropy will always be the ultimate winner!
