So Saturday night I took my wife out to get some ice cream because that's how we party in our old age! I pulled up at light next to a Camaro SS 1LE. Luckily having my wife with me, who's 5 months pregnant, meant I didn't even have to consider if I was going to give him a run or not. The light went green and sure enough he gassed it. My wife and I just watched as he shifted second and lost it. He got so sideways he went back and forth through both lanes for a good 20-30 yards while on his brakes before he finally straightened out. Had I took off with him my poor baby would be in the shop right now...

I agree. You cant control how others around you will drive. I usually wont give it a run when cars try to get me to go but I'd be lying to say I dont have a lapse in judgement ever once in a while.glad this wasn't one of those times.

Yeah, racing on the street with some random is basically a hard pass to me.

If you are street racing and the other car causes death, or they wreck and die.... You will be charged with wrongful death. So before you push that pedal think about it.

Yeah, off the line on the street can be a gamble traction/control wise. That is why the 40-50 mph roll stuff is so popular, but at 700 plus hp rwd sometimes it is 70-80 mph before true hook unless heated dr/slick. Street racer beware. A LOT of people disappear off the car forums after that one “Oh my God moment”...
