Wow and I thought driving in NJ was bad.

I may consider a dash cam. One of the worst problems here is people lane changing with no signals, and on some of the twistier roads here people drifting into my lane. I almost had a dump truck run me off the road the other day. I drive very defensively, but everyday is a battle.

The video with the cones is just plain hilariously bad driving. He's confused bowling with driving.

Spring Hill in Hernando County. All old people.

The first guy I got next to while holding the horn, the both of them just turned and stared at me with the most dead/blank expressions I've ever seen. Almost like they were upset I didn't hit them.

Second one the guy must have been in his late 80's, all I saw was the back of his head. Yup, the whole time he was going across the road all I saw was the back of his head, he never once looked at oncoming traffic.
Oh God... yeah Spring Hill SUCKS man. I feel for you.

I moved from Los Angeles to Tampa. In LA, most drivers are skilled, but complete assholes. In Tampa, they are nice, but suck at driving.

I'm sure there is a city in which the drivers both suck and are assholes.

No place exists where they aren't at least one of the two.

I actually didn't mind driving in Tampa for the most part, I went to USF for four years and it was not too bad, I really like the New Tampa area a lot.

Change over to Orlando, oh my. Some of the "newer" parts of Florida are a nightmare.

People think since you are far away they have enough time to merge or cross the street! They can't tell if you are coming like a freight train! My advise to you keep it down a little and save that driving for the track!

I was going 5 miles over the limit. Other's around drive 5-10 miles under, that's why it seems so fast. It is a common problem in spring hill with all the elderly people that they drive 35-40 in a 45 zone, same speed on US 19 where the limit is 50.
So then you have to figure then that if they drive 5-10 mph below, they are expecting you to be at that also, so really you are about 15mph over what they expect since you are at 5 mph over.

Come to Washington D.C.

Since I drive in the area the OP is referring to, often enough (it's an hour north of Tampa)... I cannot tell you how horrible it is in words. I will try anyway. You see, while a good 50% of the drivers are exactly this... driving 5-10 under the limit, not looking where they are going, and otherwise driving erratically... there is another half who are not local to Spring Hill and/or simply work there to serve all the retirees who live there.

They drive like speed demons. They'll do 15-20+ over the limit, weaving in between the clueless seniors. And they'll tailgate the f*ck out of you -- even driving reasonably at 5 over. You drive slow, and you're a target for these f*cks. You drive fast and you risk hitting one of the slow-moving, erratic obstacles. There is no winning in Spring Hill. Just driving there is putting your life in God's hands, as far as I'm concerned.

And don't even get me started on the idiots around here who are 1. Old. 2. Drunk. 3. Driving on the wrong side of the FREEWAY. 4. IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. Happens all the f*cking time around here.

Florida is driving Hell.

I'll be driving there tonight to pick up the GT. Couldn't find a dealer in Tampa with a base GT in blue, so bought it from Greenway Ford up there in O-town.

i can attest to the bad drivers in florida. my father in law is one of them, they live in delray beach. i was in the car once when he made a left turn with a car coming right at us. it was unreal.
