I have a 2023 Mustang GT, California Special, Automatic, almost 9,000 miles. The only mods I have are a K&N drop in air filter and the Ford Performance X-Pipe. When I had my hood up with the car running to add windshield washer fluid, I started to hear this clicking noise. It would come and go. It seems like it is coming from the front part of the engine. I attached a small, 7 second video. There are no codes. Any thoughts before I bring it in.
Thanks!

It sounds like the clutch on the ac compressor cycling on/off.

Thats the BBQ tick. Dealers have been instructed via TSB to take no action. You can only add a bottle of Liquimoly Ceratec and that will stop it.

I thought the bbq tick was heard more on the passenger side of the car? The ticking noise I have sounds like something metal that is opening and closing, and it is coming from the front center of the engine.

Does it sound like this: c video! If it does, use this filter. This took care of my 2020 pp2 BBQ TICK.

My noise can only be heard with the hood open. Also, the noise is located just passed the black air intake tube and in the front, center part of the engine. I'm thinking the throttle body.

Update on noise. At idle with my foot on the brake or in park, I'll see the vacuum gauge go from 21.0 down to 20.3 and then back up quickly to 21.0. It will fluctuate back and forth. Also, I can hear the exhaust change its tone. Sounds like it briefly decreases in sound and then quickly increases in sound. However, the tachometer (RPM) does not seem to move. I'm leaning towards a faulty throttle body that is opening and closing. I will not find out for sure until my scheduled dealership date of 12/11.
