Ok time for a serious thread, my stang will be a daily driver, that also means the kids will definitely win the award for dad with the coolest car award when they roll up to school in it.
Not sure how many people on here have kids, but has anyone thought about child seats? The rear seats & the massive side bolsters dont look like they lend themselves very well to child seats. I currently have Britax Evolvas, they're Stage 1,2,3 and the kids are 7 & 6. I dont really want to have to change to just boosters without the back for safety reasons.
Didn't really want to ruin the ambiance of the dealership visit a few weeks ago by trying to shoe horn a child seat into the back of the LHD Euro spec.

Ford do a Recaro child seat in the accessories part of the website. Shouldn't be anything less for the Mustang, and at least someone gets a Recaro :headbang:

Hmm, my 7 year old uses a booster - it has a strap that holds the seat belt in the correct position. She'll certainly be in the Stang as I intend to go places in it first bit of good weather, but beyond that it'll just be from time to time as we have other cars.

Feeling a bit like a bad parent now :(

The recaros actually look bulkier than the Britax. Looking at the recaros though I doubt they'll fit in the mustang.

I actually just bought a Recaro young sport hero and I can vouch for it being pretty bulky!

In the shop I thought it would fit no problem in my mustang when it comes, but in my 3 series just now it looks massive

At least its black to go with the interior

I drive my LE daily. Single dad with custody of my 4 year old girl.

I went to baby's are us and found a seat with a rounded bottom (plastic wraps around leave no sharp edges) and a smaller footprint. It sits well into the deep seat. When she got tall enough, I did the same for the booster she's in currently. It fits perfectly. (She is TALL like me so I moved her early with doctors permission, seatbelt fits properly). I put a huge bath towel under the seat to protect it from the seat and anything dropped. Normally, I don't let her eat or drink but sometimes gotta bend that rule.

She loves daddy's mustang. Actually gets upset if I have to borrow my pops truck for any reason and bring her to school in it. "Daddy, I don't wanna ride in poppies truck, I wanna ride in your mustang!"

Only my 9 year old fits in the back of the Mustang. My 12 year old and 16 year old are too tall already.

My kid is small and just turned 8. She fits more safley in the back with no booster than with one. the buckets are so deep, the booster doesnt fit square, so it gets crooked. No booster, the belts fit perfect accross her lap and torso.

So i would go no booster at all. But you have to be the judge.
