Base Ecoboost. Turned out to be a coolant temp sensor was bad. Replaced it and 100 or so miles later so far - so good.

Not much of a story, but it's not always bad news. I feel for you guys having repeat issues. I was in shock the morning the cel came on.

In other news, damn it's a fun car to drive!

Let me update:

Had a cel earlier this week at about 840 miles. Took it to my dealer and they said it was a faulty coolant temp sensor. Replaced it and got it back next day. Tonight i started it after leaving the gym and the cel came on again. Went straight to the dealer. They did a scan and got a code for a random misfire. Driving a Taurus til they let me know what's up. I told them I've been reading about cel issues online. The service guy asked me what I'd heard about it online. That wasn't real encouraging.

Post in one thread so we can make a list to see who else has the same issue. No offense!
