Cheap wheel and tire set up

I just don't like the look of the stock wheels and I looked at many different options which in reality many are just slight variations of each other. I decided until some one copies the 18 ford gt wheel I would go with the repo American muscle 20x10 in charcoal with 275/35 Mickey thompsons, the whole set up was around 1500 to my door. Can't beat the price and I think they look pretty spiffy

What did you do with the stock wheels? You can probably sell them for a good price since the wheels are still new, also market isnt flooded with GT350 wheels.

Stevdug, I think it turned out great. I'm not a big fan of the stock GT350 wheels, either.

The stock wheels look pretty good, just the black takes away from them. I considered plastidip or powder coating, but luckily had the cash for a set of the 6GR wheels. I think the stockers dipped/coated in gunmetal could have given you what you wanted for way less.

All for changing out the wheel setup, but buying a wheel that is probably heavier and having a smaller tire seems like a bad trade off just for cosmetics.... Especially on a track pack car.

With all that said, the wheels do look good.

keeping my originals for the track, no doubt these don't have the same stick as the Michelins but I think they look good for rollin around town. The fronts are on 1.25" spacers which brings them out slightly past stock and the rear pokes out just a bit further than stock on the +48 offset

I'm curious, would one of these fit in the trunk for use as a spare? I'm thinking that what you have would make a great set of spare wheels for winter use and as a backup spare tire. I think a front wheel will fit on the rear but not the reverse, right?

BTW, I'm in Tonkawa, near Ponca City ... not far from you.

LOL, you could put black steel wheels and moon hubcaps on a GT-350 and it'll still look good.
