For anyone still interested in TT Shelby's.. here's one on eBay right now...

I suggest that this Iconic Silver and Painted Black Roof color combination would look terrific in person!!

Being a Tooling Tryout car this obviously was an early build and was assembed at the FRAP on May 21st, 2019 and was released to some Ford exec or employee on June 9th, 2019.

The 3 year Bumper To Bumper and 5 year Powertrain warranty also started on June 9th which was the release date from the FRAP.

All Pre-Production TT, PP and MP cars all fall under their own VIN sequence series with the VIN series for this vehicle being "549989" and falling into that PP category.

Note the TAG # 207Y038 on the WS with the "Y" signifying that this was intended an "Evaluation" vehicle and offically scheduled starting on day 207 which I believe was July 26th, 2019.

Some of the other Tag code designations are "T" for Test and "W" for prototype and "D" for marketing.

I thought the production date is below total price of the car. If it's not then what 10 19 20 is represent?

I suggest the date that you have shown was when a new WS was issued for this Pre-Production car after going through the Manheim Auto Auction in the Detroit area.

I can assure you that this car was built on May 21st, 2019 and not almost a year and a half later on October 19th, 2020.

I have heard many different iterations of what "TT" actually stands for. Given the technical detail in your post, I believe I can assume that "TT" stands for "Tooling Trial" and you are correct.

Question: What does "MP" stand for?

If it is "Mass Production", then I'm the idiot thinking there was some Shelby's out there with a "MPXXX" plate which stood for something else.

I probably answered my own question...!

After researching your same questions many years ago I found it very interesting that I received completely different answers from various different Ford personel and that includes some very knowledgeable and experienced people who are domiciled at both the corporate and assembly plant levels.

The most common terms for the 4 levels of Pre-Production cars that I have come up with after a lot of conversations over the years are:

VP - Variable Prototype
TT - Tooling Tryout
PP- Pilot Production
MP - Mass Production

Obviously there are numerous other iterations for the above Pre-Production designations which may be more accurate than mine but the above is what I have come to learn and go by.
