Has anyone added the performance spoiler to their nonperformance pk Mach1?
Is the existing only taped on?
Does the performance require drilling into the deck?

While I have not personally done it, someone in the forum has and both spoilers are bolted to the decklid. The pattern is the same. If I remember correctly, there were pictures in the post. Anyway, this is my plan in the future as would prefer the performance spoiler appearance wise, but did not want to go for the full HP package.

Exactly my thoughts. The extending Gurney Flap is also optional to put on as well.
The hole lineup was my concern, great to know!

is also an option to put on or off.

Everything that I've seen has shown that all stock Mustang spoilers, going back to the beginning of the S550, use the same bolt hole/alignment pin template.

And they all have instructions about alignment templates and three different drill bits. Perhaps that only for the fit to the GT's

Thank you. I found this one on ebay and asked them if it appears to be a direct fit for that other post. Should be it. I want it gloss black, I have an oxford white car.

Interesting. Does that include the California Special's pedestal spoiler? I figured the center bolt holes would be different for it—maybe they're more compact than I think they are, lol.

That would look great on the oxford white car!

The existing flat one has 1 bolt and a plastic retainer on each end and two bolts in the middle. The aftermarket has multiple holes on each end and two in the middle. I reattached mine with just four bolts and some 3m double sided tape. Here's a picture of the trunk with the spoiler removed. More specifically the stock one was held with nuts and the studs were attached to the spoiler, but the aftermarket were screws. I installed threaded studs into the new spoiler and reused the nuts.

EDIT: Use a heat gun, seriously. It helps SO much getting the factory adhesive off.

Well, if you were installing them on a car that didn't have an existing spoiler, you'd obviously need to drill the trunklid. My GT is a Performance Pack car, and did not include a spoiler, so when I installed the GT350 Track Pack spoiler, I had to use the template and drill. I would NOT recommend a drill bit, as the skin of the trunk is extremely thin, and will warp. A step bit works much better. Also, there are different size holes that need to be drilled, so it's expected that you'd need different drill bits.

I guess it depends on which CS spoiler you're talking about. To my knowledge, all the stock spoilers, GT350 Tech Pack, GT350 Track Pack, plus the newer style GT500/GT350/Mach 1 spoilers all use the same bolt holes and spacing.
