change rear valance on 18?

does anyone have any info on how / if you can change the rear valance on the 18s with one from ebay that "only" fits the prior years, 17, etc?

i am unsure if the reverse tail light is even the same with the 18s.

i just got mine on Monday! yay! but i have to say, i am a little disapointed in just the rear valance, as i kind of like the prior year version better, as it looks more like a rear diffuser vs now, it just looks like a basic rear plate or something.

id hate to spend 160 bucks only to have it not fit, and deal with returns.

any help is appreciated!

You could switch to a 15-17 Premium rear bumper cover, and use any old 15-17 valence you like, it all bolts up, tail lamps and trunk remain unchanged as far as overall dimensions are concerned.

I know they changed part of the rear bumper cover design so I wouldn't assume that one would work right away. The only one I've seen for 2018s so far is the Roush kit.

i found this one... it looks like it nearly just clips and screws right in, with no having to cut up my new bumper...

also, with regards to the prior post you linked, sadly it looks like they kinda screwed the ecoboost owners out of a proper rear diffuser, vs the GT owners... :(
