Chambered Mufflers

Looking at that Flowmaster cutaway, I’d say it has baffles within chambers.

Chambers being the open spaces and baffles being the obstructions.

First chamber is effectively open. Second chamber looks like a resonator. Third contains baffles and that last space (chamber), another open space, maybe an offset outlet?

When I look at the Flowmaster cutaway I think;
WTF, who would want that on a High RPM, High CFM motor.........

I installed an H-pipe and GT500 mufflers on my '15 and it sounds amazing with zero drone. Took some cutting and welding, but well worth it.
