CFXT Tuning Scam Website?

Hello,

I found a dude on Facebook marketplace selling Full Carbon Fiber Hood for 1380.

He claims to work for CFXT tuning, the company has 0 reviews. No one seems to hear of it.

"As word of our exceptional craftsmanship spread, demand for CFX Tuning parts soared..." I can't remember seeing someone comment on them at this site.

If interested in a CF product, I wouldn't buy from them.

The web site is flashy (lots of stock photos), but when you attempt to discover any details about the company, it's blank. CFX Tuning, CFX Composites, was incorporated in Texas in November, 2023. There are zero photos of the business, shop, floor operations, workers. Product photos are photoshopped at such a distance which makes it impossible to determine the quality of what they are attempting to sell. Where the product is made, materials used and other details are lacking. Pricing is markedly less that other sites selling similar items.

CFX does not warranty their products. They do not cover damage in shipment, unless you opt-in to some vague policy when purchasing. Return policy is also lacking in details. There is no address.

My initial thoughts are:

- The web site is a front for a scam. Pay for product, get promises, never deliver, go out of business

- They don't produce anything themselves. They "design" something, then have cheap, overseas parties make the product. You'll receive a CF item, delayed, banged up, with poor fitment and QC. Any attempt to rectify problems, you'll need to speak a foreign language and dial an international number

It could be a scam. They have a website they accept credit cards. You'll at least have buyer protection. But that being said if you offer the cheapest anything it's probably junk. But at least it's not some random Instagram account accepting payment through Zelle.

Just to clear things up, I ordered from CFX Tuning recently and my parts came in without any issues. Quality was solid and matched what I expected. They also have reviews on a lot of their products from real buyers on their site, which gave me some confidence before ordering. From my experience, it wasn’t a scam.”

Hoods also came with their logo on the box
