$1000 IS crazy. I've been detailing since before these "forever lasting" products first started coming out. You can get these exact same results with normal claybar, machine polish, and sealant wax processes. Sure you will have to do it every two years or so, but the products won't cost you more than $100 to keep one car maintaimed for 10 years. The "7 year lasting" basically appeals to the inner-laziness or shortcut mentality of most people.

Not being a dick here your car still looks really nice, I just want people to understand this is not by any means required to get similar results.
We'll agree that $1,000 is crazy. I paid $480 for mine and it's worth it. It's not about being lazy, it's about how I want to spend my time on the weekends and I have ZERO interest in spending hours working on my car.

Somebody else mentioned that you can still get swirls and scratches. Most people who are getting coatings already know this. I spend 15 minutes using Optimum No rinse once a week and that's all the time I want to spend on my car.

Others who want to save the coating money and spend more time washing and waxing then that's how you chose to spend your time. My buddy loves spenging hours doing his Zaino thing. He loves it & I shake my head. Choices...
