A friend of mine has the non-PP GT and bought the center dash gauges, installed them, connected them and vacuum gauge works but the oil pressure gauge does not work; anyone know what the cause of this is?

Does the Non-PP GT have an oil sensor?

Wait, so are you implying that the harness/connections for the 2 gauges is already behind the dash trim? I have a non-PP GT Premium so I have the 3 vents in the center. I didn't realize I could just buy the gauges and hook them up. Did your friend by PP trim for the dash to give him the 2 pods?

From what I've read, not quite. But you can wire them into the bcm harness behind the radio, if I recall.

Yes he bought the trim so it looks like my car(I have the PP) with the two gauges. The vacuum gauge works but oil gauge doesn't.
You will have to do a little carving in there once you pull the panel off.
I don't know if something else needs connected, the vehicle needs to be told to work(FORScan) or needs a sensor.
