Back in undergrad I put a ton of MP3's on a "DVD +R". There are a handfull of folders and then a few hundred MP3's. No videos or text docs or anything, just music.

When I put it in the CD player it keeps spitting it back out.

Any thoughts why this is?

I could pretty easily just copy the files over to my thumb drive. Just wanted some help with why it was not playing off the disk.

Thanks

I wonder if the DVD is too dense for the player to read. Have you tried a regular CD R?

Well it's a CD player meaning it will only read CD or CD-R. DVD is different density requires different laser optics.

Exactly! It will not read a DVD of any type. CD media only.
