Hi all,

Could someone tell me what you mean by 400 or 200 cat converter? I'm new to these cars (just bought my '16 a week and a half ago) and I'm still learning the stuff particular to them.
How many cells per square inch. Lees cells means freer flowing but less effective. If you have to do a tailpipe test where you live you want to go for the 400 as a 200 cell might fail. if all you have to do is OBD and visual then the 200 cell is the way to go. if you live in California, you are just screwed, and have to leave it stock. AFAIK nobody makes a CARB EO certified cat replacement for this car. it wouldn't matter if your emissions were better than stock, you could get heavily fined if caught.

Ah, that makes sense. In AL, there is no inspection at all. If the car is not smoking so much that visibility is obstructed, no one will bother you.

You won't be disappointed. That's the same setup I'm running (except catless ) and it sounds better than I imagined. I posted some videos here but they do not even come close to replicating the real sound.

Now I really can't wait! I basically have the same setup as you except I have a JLT CAI. FBO minus meth and waste gate.

Yeah I'm not bothering with an upgraded wastegate, the Vargas stage 2 comes with one, My debate will be Meth or aux fuel to safely feed ~400whp

Hey MakStang, when I installed the downpipe it didn't actually change the sound as much as make it louder. It wasn't a bad thing since the exhaust tone was awesome. It did put more sound in the cabin as well.

As far as feel, with downpipe it is hard to say as I tuned my car when I added the downpipe. Tune with downpipe did make it make it get up and go!

Hope that helps! MAP's exhaust is top notch and definitely one of the best for the EcoBoost"

So here it comes! ;) Meth or aux fuel... High octane, super efficient fuel for enhanced performance, to safely make 400whp!
Glenn G I read the very interesting MIT paper on that. I think it's time to start a new thread on that. Personally I would be very interested to go over that subject.

While on the stock turbo, catless and catted downpipes don't have much of a power difference. For people with bigger turbos (or plan on upgrading in the future) how much of a difference would there be?
