Just the clamp. The hangers have a bit more play in them when I remember looking at them. They weren't necessary as it was more of the pipe twisting to move the muffler up and down. The hanger would have caused it to move left or right too much if I loosened that. Can't hurt to try if you think it needs it. Having the jack in place, you should be able to perfectly align it where you want then tighten it all down.
