Carrier bearing movement?

I am curious how much movement there should be in the driveshaft center carrier bearing. Obviously the bearing itself should be tight but I am wondering about the rubber in which the actual bearing is mounted.

I am chasing a small vibration and have discovered that I can wiggle the shaft easily and probably 1/4 inch each way at the carrier bearing. Not sure if that is normal or not. Anyone know?
