Just back from GT101, they installed the Anderson Composites double-sided Type-SK carbon fiber hood with functional hood scoop. I will post more pics when it's a sunny day.

So Forgitec just replied and I guess their system was down for 10 days. They offered to send a full replacement kit and said maybe the tape or mold was defective. I was also told the tape included should work fine… still thinking about changing atleast the top tape by gauges and around gauges…..

Knee Pads are installed but, I am not happy with the double sided tape the provided. The tape is not 3M. For as much as they are charging for the pieces which, are beautiful and provide a 98% fitment, they will not receive a 5 start rating from me. I give the product for Forgitec , 4.5 starts. Looks great but, for the price they need to provide a better execution. I will be holding off installing the console until I replace the tape provided. I will also be reinstalling the knee pads as the tape is not holding as it should.

Forgitec 4.5 stars - For the cost, they should have come with 3M tape. Fitment is about 98%. There are a couple of gaps here and there that aren't noticeable but, I know they are there. There is also no way I will install the console in place and I will need to remove it in order to insure the overlay sits perfectly. I will also be setting up the tape so, I can pull the tape off in stages in order to insure the tape sets up properly and pulls the overlay down into place.

What 3m tape and thickness did you use? I ordered the below tapes to try. I figure the thinner the better the fitment. I’m going to atleast put the better tape at top above and around the gauges on my GT500. I installed the 1st kit and had trouble removing it. They are sending replacement but wanna make sure I get a better fitment this time.

Thank you Jack!

I did receive you emails and am very appreciative of your support. To my fellow Mustang enthusiasts, the team at Forgitec reached out to me immediately and provided support to ensure I am 100% satisfied. I consider this uncommon in today's environment and am very pleased with their attention to customers like me. At this point, I am 101% satisfied with the team at Forgitec. I will be ordering again from them shortly to complete my interior needs!
How’d it install with better tape?

The “Mustang4Ever” discount code is a code we always keep active for all forum members year round, so you will more than definitely be able to use it when you’re ready! This is just the first time I have publicly put it out as I am not sure why it has not been put out before.

If you have any issues, feel free to quote me and/or email if you have any issue(s), and we will take care of you!
When I entered this code it took off 10%, not 20% just a heads up

Well, you could always go with the OEM GT500 carbon bits.

Yeah, an absurd price. Overlays just never seem to work out as intended.

Thought I'd post some more photos of my carboned out '15. I feel like I'm going through withdrawals since I have been without it for two years now. These were pre-storage photos I took. Hopefully we will be reunited this summer.

Still waiting for bright sunshine, but here's a few more of the new hood for the addicts. What's really cool is from the inside looking out and seeing all the carbon down near the windshield wipers.

kit looks good but fitment is just ok. Not happy how it fits above the gauges. I think part of the issue is the tape used. Emailed Forgitec multiple times with no response.

For overlays, I would use epoxy instead of double stick tape. Fitment is way better.

Removal will be easy as it is a smooth surface. use something cold to apply then use trim tools to pop off.

Be strategic with epoxy application especially if considering removal in the future.
