Very Nice Henry. I still cant wait to see your ride in person. You going to Fab Fords this weekend?
Thank you! I am not actually, I will be in Coachella instead lol. I was invited by a group and thought about rolling with them down to Knotts Berry Farm, but realized that was Coachella weekend lol.

Anyone know if you can you buy the shift knob from the carbon sport interior package on the 2018? I tried looking, but all I found is the Ford Performance knob. I looked in a parts catalog and just found the standard shift knob.

Yeah, some of the ones on Amazon don't have real good reviews, just seeing if there was a quality place to order one from.

Thanks for knit picking. Obviously I'm not talking about the interior. I have a carbon fiber hood and there is a good bit of weight difference.
Your original hood was aluminium. Probably a 10lbs. difference TOPS.

The over-the-top CF interior looks tacky to me. It makes the interior too busy. A subtle touch goes a long way, especially when its just a vinyl wrap with mismatched weaves running different directions.

Cabon fiber in itself is not "rice" but when done in an over the top manner purely for aesthetics it is.

R - race
I - inspired
C - cosmetic
E - enhancement...

I like CF when its used to replace a heavier piece/material.

Though for fenders I think it looks better painted. It clashes with the rest of the car to me. Also not big on CF "stickers".

so what you're saying is that when I eventually sell my car you won't be buying my take-off cf bits?

Would depend on the bits. Everyone has different tastes.

I bought a radiator cover and a fuse box cover hydro-dipped carbon. It breaks up the monotony of all that black plastic, but buying real carbon wasn't worth it to me. Looks decent, and I get compliments all the time at shows. I can tell it isn't real but some ppl don't look that close. I'm just not sure how far one can carry that theme because at some point, having too many pieces starts looking awfully busy. Exotics can get away with lots of CF because they have the real thing, often in structural parts, and besides dry carbon looks bad A.
