Car Died.

This is the first time the car battery died since I bought the car in March, 2015. Nothing was left on overnight. When I start the car in the AM, I can see it was trying to start but eventually died. Is it too early for the battery to died like this?

My battery went dead unexpectedly. I put a charger on it overnight. At first, I had no idea what had drained the battery. I had put the top up after I entered the garage. I got up early and went into the dark garage to see how the charging was doing. One of the map lights was on! It appears that I had accidentally hit the light switch while twisting the lock lever for the top.
Of all of the interior lights...the map lights do NOT shut off automatically after a period of time...and no chime warning that they are on. I hadn't noticed that one was on in the day-lit open garage. My dealer acknowledged that someone else had accidentally left a map light on during the day and had drained their battery.

Bad battery. They have warranty on the battery so you will get a new one for free.

I jump started the car and now it is good. Let see if it will do the same overnight. How long is the warranty? Fordparts said 18 months for free replacement. I at 21 months.
