Those cocoons look very good although I guess they could be cut through?

Never thought of a ram post - they actually might be the best thing all round... Just a question of whether it's worth £350 or not... Hmm...

You're right about that's what insurance is for but it'd be such a bummer to lose it given the work that's been put into it - would have to start again from scratch...
I have a Carcoon for winter storage of a VW , it's not the sort of thing you want to be putting on and off weekly. ONce under though they are fantastic with circulating air and trickle charge etc. I also have a security post. Mine was about £150 and that is the best investment I have made in deterring theft. There is no way you would get through it in less than 30 mins with a grinder. Someone may just notice that of course!

Can you remember where you got your security post from?

I believe ours is a sentinel post and can be bought from safe.co.uk or barriers direct. Lots of companies sell many different types and the security rises as does the price. Ours was about £150 and is in essence ram raid proof. Posts also vary in steel thickness etc. I think it's a case of shopping around and finding the best security v budget. But our post for that price appears pretty indestructible .
