False alarm guys! All good now.
Not sure what I did differently but I managed to close the hood this time.

The Good:
The material is really thick and padded. It'll take a boulder to scratch/dent the covered area.
It looks really good

The Bad:
Pain in the butt to put it on, the first time anyway. (Tip: Leave it under the sun for an hour before installation)
Those with slime plates will have a bit of exposed area at the front (see pics)

I ordered mine from Covercraft. They have a branch in NSW.
Having said that, it was shipped direct from USA to me but I only had to pay $30 for freight.
Not sure if they keep them in stock now.

Well I tried a car bra and it marked the paint on a long trip. Now on the 2nd GT and I got the front end clear wrapped. Just driven from Perth to Sydney 5200kms (via Great Ocean Rd etc) and it really helped. Stone hit near windscreen and damaged a little bit of wrap which I will get repaired in Perth on my return next week. Broke the windscreen tho. Definitely next trip I will put thin strips of black gaffer tape on each side of the windscreen. Stone chips near the edge always result in a crack and the tape might help. Also thinking of clear wrap on the outside of the windscreen - sick of replacing windscreens.

guys i am getting a clear bra put on bonnet and the area around wheels . whats people thoughts on the clear bra. i hate stone chips like everybody

Did you get a clear bra and what was your thoughts if you did white880
