Used to be able to buy a nice one for $5k. Now you need like $20k...
Yep. Over the last 5 years the prices on really nice Fox Mustangs have really shot up in value. Hardly see any out on the roads anymore. Some of the asking prices are absurd for a Fox Mustang, but it just comes with the territory (as the same inflated prices exist for the Classics too).

If searching multiple online venues, there are still some decent Fox Mustangs in the $5k-$10k range for good drivers, but will have high miles and some type of mods. Project Fox’s are still in the $3k range, but need a lot of work, may have bad drivetrains or have rotted out front strut towers.

The 5.0 SN95’s are also starting to go up in value too, most likely because the Fox is not as affordable as it once was to some folks.

My first "nice" car, a 1990 GT Convertible 5 speed, was an ergonomic torture chamber. I'll look at Fox Mustangs and wax nostalgic, and no more, because after 5 minutes of driving a Fox Body, I'll realize fond memories are better than real life.
