Capitol Raceway July 31st Anyone?

Would any of the local guys be interested in hitting Capitol Raceway on July 31st? I am open to there tracks and days that weekend as well. I hope to have my drag radial on but it is a long shot.

That's a Friday right? I would have to leave work early. I'm interested since that's a few days after my birthday and would be a great way to celebrate. I would be street tire only.

Just looked up directions to both Capitol and Mason Dixon, both are within one minute drive time which is hilarious.

I will leave falls church sound 6:30 after traffic calms down . I will be on street tires too since drag radials will not be there yet.

I'm going to bring my drag radials with me to work tomorrow just for the hell of it. Maybe get a chance to datalog my torque management issues. I've never driven on the roads with them since the wheels are the original unilug Racestars that I don't trust very much. Only used them at the drag strip twice with two different tunes, both had severe torque management issues that actually made me slower than my best street tire times.

I did three different trips to the strip plus drove from VA to TX to run the Texas Mile on the original PZeros. You'd be fine as long as you resist doing your best John Force impersonation.

I can get my car to hook leaving the line but I hat to shift 2nd slow or it will blow the tires off.

I had wheel hop issues every 1-2 shift when I was at MIR.

That is too bad the weather is looking good with a low of 68 and 0% chance of rain. Fridays are tough for me too but easier than ditching the family on a weekend. Let us know when you plan to go.

October is a great time for MIR or any east coast drag racing. Cooler air without being frozen or snowing. Last three track rentals I went to were all in October with beautiful weather.
